A location-based tool that helps drivers find available parking close to their destination in real time, instead of circling the block on arrival. Park Pal started as a flow sketch inside the Self-Initiated AI Prototypes case study and has since grown into its own live app.
Turn-by-turn navigation gets a driver to the destination, then stops helping exactly when the hardest part starts — finding somewhere to actually leave the car. Circling the block eats time and adds friction to what should be the easy part of the trip.
Once a destination is set, Park Pal scans for available parking nearby instead of leaving the driver to guess and circle.
Recommendations weigh distance to the actual destination, not just proximity to wherever the driver currently is.
Navigation continues seamlessly from route to parking spot, so the last five minutes of the drive stay guided too.
Park Pal is built and live — destination-aware parking search and navigation hand-off work end to end in the prototype below.
